John C. Belt
Attorney at Law
John Belt is the founding partner of Belt & Pearson. He is a native of Cleveland,
Ohio. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelors
of Science in Mathematics. After doing his tour in the Air Force, he attended the
Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he graduated with honors.
John practices primarily in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense. He is a member
of the Arizona Bar Association and the Maricopa County Bar Association. John is admitted to
practice in both the Arizona State Courts and the Federal Courts. Many attorneys in the
greater Phoenix area refer their custody cases to John for his experience and sensitivity
in handling these difficult matters. John also has extensive trial experience in DUI cases.
John and his wife enjoy family-filled activities with their six children. They enjoy hiking,
boating, playing sports together, and family vacations. On occasion John finds time to hit the
rink and brush up on his hockey skills. Two years ago, John and his family opened their home
to four siblings who needed foster care for six months. Since then, John and his wife have
become active in helping Arizona children find safe homes.
Karl S. Pearson
Attorney at Law
Karl has strong ties to the East Valley. His family moved to Tempe in
1974 where he
attended high school at Marcos de Niza. He graduated from Arizona State
University
in 1989 with a degree in political science. He also attended law school
at Arizona
State University. Karl is happily married with two children. He resides
in Chandler and
practices out of the Tempe office.
Since graduating from law school in 1992, Karl has
practiced primarily in the areas of
commercial litigation and personal injury. He has represented individuals
as well as
many small and mid-sized businesses in a wide variety of contexts.
Karl is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court
of Arizona and the United States
District Court, District of Arizona. He is a member of the State Bar of
Arizona, the
Maricopa County Bar Association and the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
